Origin & history
Daffy first appeared in Porky's Duck Hunt , released on April 17, 1937. The cartoon was directed by Tex Avery who, as a lifelong duck hunter , based the cartoon on his hunting experiences at White Rock Lake in Dallas . The lead animator on the cartoon was Bob Clampett who was equally responsible for Daffy's creation.
